Effect of Solution Temperature on Electrodeposition Behavior of Zn-Ni Alloy from Alkaline Zincate Solution

Zn–Ni alloys were electrodeposited on a Cu electrode at 10–5000 A·m−2 and 5 × 104 C·m−2 in an unagitated zincate solution 293, 313, 333 K. The effect of temperature the electrodeposition behavior from alkaline solutions was investigated. transition current density which deposition shifted normal to anomalous codeposition almost similar 293 313 K but increased due enhanced hydrogen evolution Ni deposition. efficiency for alloy with both (10–50 A·m−2) (500 codepositions region. In region, mainly occurred, larger promotion increase region 500 A·m−2, Zn seems proceed under mixed rate-determining process charge transfer diffusion ions. since ions accelerated. content deposited films all densities, more accelerated than increasing where rate-limiting. γ phase temperature.
